Kim Smith, DVM

Dr. Smith graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1995. She has practiced in Virginia, Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia and Kentucky.She owns a small farm and cares for a small zoo of animals, including horses, sheep, chickens, a snake, Max the umbrella cockatoo, not to mention several dogs and cats. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her three daughters and relaxing at their home in Frankfort.

Casey Eckert, DVM

Dr. Eckert grew up in Versailles, Kentucky, the daughter of a veterinarian and knew from an early age she wanted to follow in her father's footsteps.  She has always loved caring for animals and helping people who love them.  At Cornerstone, she loves the clients and their devotion to the very best care for their family members.  Casey attended Auburn University for her undergraduate studies and after graduating from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine, she moved back to Kentucky.  While in school, she met her husband, Josh, and they both have a love for horses, and Labrador Retrievers.  They now enjoy life on their farm with their son Wyatt and their four legged family.  They live with five McCurdy Plantation Horses (Shadow, Scarlett, Pearl, Magnolia, and Traveller), two Quarter Horses (Annie and Hope), a pony named Cheyenne, and a Miniature Horses named Waffles.  They have three Labrador Retrievers (Belle, Sadie and Stella), a rescue Chihuahua mix named Little, six cats (Becky, Aslan, Lucy, Rumples, Lucille, and Kit-Ten), and several chickens.  In her spare time, Casey enjoys being outdoors, taking the dogs to the lake, and riding her horses.  Dr. Eckert is a member of the AVMA and KVMA.  She serves on the board of directors of the Woodford Humane Society and the McCurdy Plantation Horse Association.
